We're off to Beijing for about a week tomorrow. We really wanted to go to Haerbin, to the ice festival. It's in China but 'borders' Russia. (It's still a 12 hour train to Russia!) but we couldn't get tickets from Shanghai to there. But we're just glad to get out of Shanghai for a bit of a holiday! We might be able to get a train once we're in Beijing so we'll see. Isabelle's been in Hong Kong for a few days but she's coming back tonight! It's also Adam Graham's 21st today (another Leeds Shanghaier) so we're going to the Chalet, a nice cosy bar for a bit of dinner and happy hour all night. Every day we have a beautiful sunset and the sun streams though our apartment and makes it all orange.
